We rented the entire campground for my daughter's wedding at Gable Hill, which was only 10 minutes away. It was perfect for our group of about 45 people. It was so nice for everyone to be able to gather and spend quality time together, something that would not have been possible had we opted for a hotel. It also saved money compared to staying at a hotel. The cottages were all very clean, and management was super responsive for the couple of questions we had. We were pleasantly surprised at the charm of the cottages- the pictures don't do them justice. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care and thoughtfulness into making them modern and updated. I will say that the Grand Canoe Lodge where I stayed is a little more dated than the others, but it is a very large space, it was clean, and it worked very well for a breakfast and lunch spread for everyone.
Nice & quiet! We stayed in Stargazer. This was in the northeast corner and felt very private. Only one cabin next to us. We had the perfect view of the lake. We watched swans and other birds.
We stayed in the Music Hall, it was very large and spacious. Perfect for the kids to run and play. We loved the ping pong table! Satellite TV in the game room and living room was perfect for relaxing after a long day of swimming in the private lake. We spent hours swimming and jumping and playing on the swimming platform. Kayaking around the lake, fishing and watching the swans. Second time we have stayed at Lakeside Melodies and decided this will be our annual family vacation spot. Got home today and can't wait to go back again!
This was our family's third year holding our family reunion at Camp Blue Canoe and we love it! As we have a large family reserve the whole place. The cottages are welcoming and have a true rustic charm. It's so beautiful waking up to the peaceful lake and beautiful surroundings. Our family loves using the large lodge area most of all. Drove up from Chicago, bought a 2 day pass to Ski Swill Valley and decided to rent the Stargazer Cottage for the V-Day weekend. It was nice and clean very cool appliances, it did not disappoint. The area must look really nice in the Summer, might come back then! A+
Were leaving tomorrow morning but we have enjoyed our vacation so much! Very relaxing, clean, quiet, even our dog had tons of fun. The water in the cottage does have a very strong smell so if your not used to it then it can be shocking. The owner is also very accomidating. Overall we have had a blast and definitely plan to come back next year.
Beautiful views of Little Pleasant Lake. Very nicely kept vintage cottages, very charming great for families, lots to do volleyball beach boats canoes kayaks. We stayed in fireside cottage, very nicely kept! We’ll return!
Peaceful resort with clean lakeside cabins. We stayed in the Tackle Box cabin which was cozy and vintage. One caveat, this cabin has a low ceiling so if you're taller than 6 ft you may have to watch your head in a few areas. Owners are attentive and very accommodating. Lake is small but holds some nice fish, rowboat at the resort are workable. Looking forward to our next visit.
